Two texts and reading comprehension questions with answers that can be used together or separately to practise comprehension skills and for the Key Stage 1 SATS. Texts are a fiction story (a version of the Ugly Duckling) and a non-fiction text about electricity. This could also be used a practice test for pupils to sit in class. Questions are based on the 2016 SATS paper and government sample materials.

Powerpoint tells the story of Holy Week, starting at Palm Sunday and ending with the Resurrection. Language is simplified and video clips and images are chosen sensitively. Links to non-statutory RE framework for teaching about Christianity. Can be used with my unit of work about Easter or on its own.

Fits with the non-statutory RE framework, on 'The nature of religion and belief' and 'Learning about Christianity.' Encourages learners to both learn about and from religion.

Powerpoint designed to help explore some of the common imagery of Easter and to think about where they come from. Includes video links to how to make a palm cross and a song about the Easter bunny. Can be used alone or with my unit of work on Easter for year 1/2.

Useful for studying the Victorians, the role of women in history and the history of nursing. Sheet can be used a pure reading comprehension or as a stimulus for further study. Question sheet and answers are provided.
